The Electronic Visa for Vietnam, or e-Visa, is a type of visa aimed at those who are going to spend up to 30 days visiting the country. Also those who plan to enter the country through the entry points that are enabled for it.

Countries that can process the e-visa for Vietnam

The online visa or e-visa began to be used in February 2017, as a pilot program, and for now, it is only valid for 46 countries, although we assume that the list will gradually be expanded.

Visa Waiver for Vietnam

There are several countries whose citizens are exempt from visa processing, depending on the days of stay in the country.

Currently, 24 countries are affected by some type of visa exemption for ordinary passports, so it is best to check the official page of visa exemptions for Vietnam.

But as a detail, we will indicate that among the most fortunate are countries like Chile, which have a 90-day exemption.

Online Visa Validity

The maximum length of stay that e-visa Vietnam allows us is 30 days from the day of entry into the country.

Keep in mind that this visa is valid only for a single entry into the country. So if we leave the country before 30 days, we must process a new visa.

In addition to the date of entry, we must indicate it during the electronic application for the Visa, and obviously, it must coincide with the day we are going to access, otherwise, we will be losing days. The departure date is automatically calculated by the system.
